• The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19).

    THE PRESENCE....

The Anointing, The Glory, The Presence, and The Victory. This is a divine progression that leads to victory over Satan’s power. It is a God-given gift that enables us to live the victorious Christian life.

The anointing is God’s power on us that breaks the yoke of bondage that Satan puts on us. The anointing is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that brings the gifts of the Holy Spirit into action. The anointing comes when you stir up the Holy Spirit who dwells in you.

2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

The glory comes because of a divine visitation. The glory comes with the King of Glory.

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

The glory (in fullness) comes as a result of divine visitation during an appointed time.

Acts 17:26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.

The glory comes with God and as we behold His majesty, beauty, power and splendor we are changed.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The anointing and glory come with “God’s Presence” which is the title of this week’s message.

His Presence brings a time of refreshing.

Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Refreshing – a time of restoration, renewal, strengthening, and healing. This restoration restores vision and purpose that is lost because of the intensity of the battle. God with us – this God connection must be established if we want to be revived/brought to life – supernatural life.

Drawing Close to God will bring His presence.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Pursue God’s presence – seek after it.

Hosea 6:3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Be refreshed like standing in a cool rain shower on a hot day.

    The Blessings of God’s Presence

    1. His love is known

    Romans 8:
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To know the love of God is to have understanding of His acceptance of us.

Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Jude 21: Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

God’s love delivers us from fear, condemnation and rejection.

    2. His presence establishes peace in our lives in spite of troubling circumstances.

2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

    3. His presence bring joy.

1 Peter 1:8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

God’s presence establishes His love, peace and joy in our lives. However, we must seek His presence.

    4. Faith—our faith will be strengthened in His presence.

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Finisher—perfecter or one who has in his own person raised faith to its perfection and so set before us the highest example of faith.

The Journey that has been set before us is one that holds the anointing, the glory, God’s presence, and the victory. Let us seize the moment of this season of the equipping of the saints. Let us pursue God’s presence so that we might be refreshed and thereby be made ready for this present spiritual journey and the benefits thereof.
