• The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19).

    ANOINTING......

    APOSTOLIC ANOINTING.....
The Fathers Heart the Apostolic Anointing
Heb 3:1 wherefore holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus who was faithful to him that appointed him, As also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath Builded the house hath more honour than the house, For every house is builded by some man; but he that Built all things is God
In understanding the Apostle ministry, we must understand the word Apostle where it came from and how it was used at the time the Holy Spirit picked it up to introduce this ministry to the new testament church. The word Apostle is said to have been picked up from the Roman and Greek Empire. The title was used for a man who was very loyal and proven Warrior of the King. When the King needed someone to go into a territory and conquer that territory for the Empire he would call upon one of these Apostles. Now this Apostle was a man of strategic intent understanding all types of Warfare. Not only did He understand warfare but He was also a skilled diplomat and could talk the citizens of the territory into becoming a part of the Empire He was representing. This Apostle was given almost unlimited authority, in fact the only one Who had more authority was the king. This man was given this authority so that He could have available to Him all that He needed to accomplish the task that was set before Him of the King to accomplish. Because He has proven His military ability, the King knew that His will would be accomplished. The Apostle’s job was not just to conquer, but to then set up government and teach the citizens of that Territory how to be a citizen of their new government. This man had so much power when He went into the Territory that nothing could stand in His way. He had all the authority he needed, with all the military force at His command, with all the wealth of the kingdom at his command and with his proven military ability. He was totally able to accomplish the Kings will. The Apostle was a conqueror in every aspect.
So, from this explanation you can understand what the function of the first Apostles who were appointed to the
Church by Jesus Christ. They were to go forth in what Christ had started and continue to conquer the
Kingdoms of this world and make them the kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ. (Rev.11:15)
And from history we understand that the first Apostles turned the known world over for the kingdom of God and setting an example for the apostolic ministries today. Even though, through the Doctrines of men that began to invade the church, the example was still there. We know from the book of Revelation that the 666 which is the number of a man representing man’s ideas, ways, thoughts, works etc… have infiltrated the church.
The Apostolic and Prophet ministry laid in the street as dead and men sent gifts unto one another and rejoiced over the dead witnesses, making merry, because these two Prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. In Revelation it says the whenever the apostolic and prophetic are not present, men won’t send gifts (of the spirit) of their own knowledge and understanding unto each other. In the church we have seen the philosophies of men invade every denomination on the face of the earth till the pollution of this thing is like in Jesus day when he told the scribes and Pharisees that they have taught the traditions of men as the commandments of God. The true Apostolic and Prophet always torments those who dwell on earth or in other words, those who dwell in their earthly soulish wisdom. But the day is upon us that the Spirit of Life from God is entering into the Apostolic and Prophetic ministry to clean out the church of the 666 which has set itself up in the church to be worshipped as God.
    Jesus the Apostle
Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he Who builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some (man), but he that built all things is God.
Jesus was appointed to the call even as the King appointed the Apostle from the secular world. The scriptures clearly show us that an Apostle is one who is appointed even before the foundation of the earth, that appointment is established.
The life of Jesus also verifies His Apostolic ministry. First He was loyal to the King, the Father. The only one with greater authority than Jesus was the Father. Somewhere before the entrance of time, we understand that Jesus had proven his loyalty to the Father and so the appointment had come. Later we see that Jesus was made both Lord and Christ making him equal with the Father.
Jesus was sent to the earth with a heavenly call or appointment, if you will. In Genesis we see the first
    mention of this appointment.
Chapter 3:15 And I will put emnity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Of course we know that the seed of the woman was Jesus Christ the Apostle and High Priest of our Profession. The head of serpent is the kingdoms of this world.
    1. John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this Purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. My question is what is the works of the devil? It does not say that Son of God was made manifested to Destroy the devil, but to Destroy his works.
Revelations 12:9 and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, Which deceiveth the whole world … The works of the devil, I would like to allude to, are the very deceptions that he has used from the beginning. As we see him in the garden, the same serpent, the same devil, and same Satan found in the book of revelation, he was in the business of deception as he came to Eve, which was a type and a shadow of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mother of all Living, I believe the first Adam called her. Even as the first Adam was a type of Christ so Eve his bride was a type of the church. The same tricks the enemy had for the first bride, he is still using on the second bride. Deception, challenging what God has said, with earthy carnal knowledge, knowledge of the earthly realm. Man did not die immediately in the physical, but Satan wanted to deceive the fact that man would die in the Spiritual realm. Deception based on the natural; deceptions based on earthly interpretations of the Word of God. Isn’t that what has happened in the church of God today? By his stripes we are healed, then we say, "some of us don’t get our healing". When the Word says Greater works shall ye do, we want to dilute it and say that is when we win souls, "even winning souls is a greater work", Jesus was eluding to the fact of signs, wonders and miracles in this passage. After all, we are not the ones who save the souls, unless the Holy Spirit draws them they cannot be Saved, but we are the ones who raise the dead, heal the sick, and cast out the devils, by the power that works in us.
The deceptive nature of Satan has Brought misrepresentation of God and his plan. It has twisted the scriptures to an earthly level. In the church today we see laws, rules and ceremonies that have become more important to people than the Word of God. Seems as if there is always someone adding a Plus to Jesus. True Apostolic ministries take the Plus off of Jesus. He is God all by Himself and doesn’t need a Plus. It has diluted the Word to us that we don’t even try to raise the dead, heal the sick, or cast out devils in most of the church. Jesus came to destroy the Works of the Devil, that old serpent who works in the area of the carnal mind minimizes the Word, and dilutes it, making it earthly knowledge, sensual, based on the flesh realm and not the Spirit realm. A lower application as to what the Lord meant. The works of Satan is to deceive the Bride of Christ into accepting something less than what God intended for her. Just as He told Eve that the day they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that there eyes would be opened and they would be like God knowing Good and evil, settling for just knowing good and evil but not knowing what to do with that knowledge. Even the replacement of the knowledge of good and evil, which is earthly knowledge over the true knowledge which comes from the tree of Life the Lord Jesus himself.
When Jesus came to the earth the world had what was said to be about 400 years without a revelation form the prophets or the heavenly realm if you will. The outer court realm had completely taken over all spiritual application of the Word of God, which was brought down to the level of meat and drink. The earthly lower, sensual understanding of the Word of God being translated by men who were not spiritual or did not have any type of revelation from on high. The pollution that had come because of this 666 how many know that is the number of the man that had set itself up in the midst of God’s people. God brought forth an Apostle that was sent from before the foundations of the earth to set things in order. Bringing forth the Spiritual applications of the Word and leaving out the outer court understanding. We see from His teaching as he talks about adultery He clarifies that it is not just the fleshly action of adultery that is sin, but also the spiritual conditions of the heart whither there be a corresponding action or not. He began to speak from a higher realm of revelation that transcended all of man’s interpretations.
Jesus came to subdue the inhabitants of this earth, and to build him a house to set in order the mess that had been made by men and their interpretations based from eating from the knowledge’s of good and evil.

Matt 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them. Why do ye also transgress the commandments of God by your traditions? Vs. 9 but in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, hear and understand. Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Again showing forth a higher revelation than just the outward, but foremost, the inward or spiritual condition. The true application of the Word of God.
Over and over again we see that Jesus warred with the Religious systems of the church in the Wilderness.
He warred with their doctrines and accused them of killing the prophets or the higher revelation that the prophets represented.
Mark 7:13 Making the Word of God of none effect through your traditions, which ye have delivered and many such like things do ye.
We know that Jesus himself is the Word of God and he is contending with. The Works of the Devil that makes the Word of God to none of effect. The high mindedness of men And they’re earthly wisdom. It is no wonder God states there is one real enemy of His when He says:
In Roman 8:7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God for it is not subject to the law of God, Neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Because the Religious people of that day had interpreted everything in the fleshly, carnal realm, Into eating’s, and drinking’s, and washing they were the enemies of Jesus. In fact He states that Their teaching made the Word of God to none effect. What a powerful statement coming from the
Very Word of God as He proclaimed the only thing that could render Him ineffective.
It was very clear that Jesus, did not spend His time fighting with sinners, in fact He said he was sent To those who were lost, He doesn’t call sinners his enemies; He called them lost sheep. He didn’t spend His time warring with the devil, in every incident, he rendered the devil powerless, without a struggle for him. But who did He war with the 666 that set itself up in the temple of that day, the religious, carnal, fleshly people who with their influence were teaching their traditions as the commandments of God.
Jesus came to tear down the religiosity of the ruling systems of the day. The true ministry of the Apostle/Prophet is to tear down false doctrine, setting in order. Isaiah says 40:3 The voice of him that
Crieth in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall Be made straight, and the rough places plain.Hebrew 3:5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for the testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house, whose house are we if are if we Hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Moses built a house, the house He built was the Tabernacle of Moses, and the pattern he used was from the heavenly.

Ex 25:40 And look that thou make them after the pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
    E
Moses received His pattern from the Heavenly; Jesus also got his revelation from the Heavenly. Jesus brought revelation to the people of that day as such as was not heard since the time of the prophets. Those in this day who are true Apostles like Jesus will climb to the top of the mountain up to the high places. In God and get the true pattern, everything else will only produce simulations and not the real thing. A form of godliness without the power thereof.
Jesus told Peter in Mt 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona,
For flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. It was not birthed by the will of man or by flesh and blood but it is birthed by revelation knowledge That is what is really solid. As he goes on to say in verse 18 And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth be Bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
With Revelation knowledge from on high from the father, we have a solid foundation and we can unloose the kingdoms of this earth.
Jesus brought order ad when order came and false doctrine came down, Miracles were again loosed upon the people. Why because the keys of kingdom were to those who go to the top of the mountain and receive revelation knowledge from the Father. How many times in the gospels do we read where Jesus went up to the mountain at night to pray unto the Father. When we are in the night of our carnal minds, we need to climb that mountain to get a revelation from the father. Then the miracles are loosed, then the sings Wonders and miracles follow. Then the foundation is set in order.
Heb 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that Spake on earth much more shall not we escape. If we turn away from that speaketh from heaven.
Whose voice then shook the earth; but now he promised saying. Yet once more I shake not only the Earth, but also heaven. This word yet once more, signifieth, the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
How many know a true Apostle is one who is going to remove that which can be shaken. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby, we may Serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear for our God is a consuming fire.
Everything that is based on man’s doctrine again is going to be shaken as the Spirit of life from God enters into the Apostles and prophets of this day. And as in Jesus, the shaking of the religious systems, the works of the Devil will be shaken and those things that are shaken will be removed.
Jesus is building a kingdom and the Apostles and Prophets are coming forth in this hour and things will be set in order once again. As the revelation knowledge, knowledge comes to people from the top of the mountain once again.
How many know at the top of the mountain is Zion where the revelation of Christ and him crucified is central. Those that understand that will set things in order.
    Adam the Apostle
The first Adam had a high calling with and Apostolic anointing to set in order. From Genesis 1, most scholars believe that there was an event that took place between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The event many believe was the fall of Satan to the earth. Whatever it might have been, we can see that it brought about a chaotic condition to the earth causing it to be without form, without structure, without foundation, and void, nothingness, no substance. Sounds a lot like some of our religious systems. And darkness was upon the face of the deep. The deep hidden things of God were hidden by the darkness. This Chaotic condition caused God to move upon the earth and to bring forth a man to rule or take dominion to set things in order.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, And God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish
The earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the foul of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
This is an Apostolic Charge which is the Same Charge that is given to any Apostolic person-to set in order. The Second Adam our Lord Jesus Christ is completing this same charge. And the whole earth is full of His glory.

    The Anointing of the
    Holy Spirit

You have the anointing of God flowing through you when God's heart touches another person's heart through your heart. The anointing of God is the Holy Spirit. He flows as a river of love, from the throne of grace, through the hearts of believers, bringing life to all that receive His touch.

God anoints people that love Him more than they love their own lives, and that love others as themselves. As we open our hearts to love others God's anointing flows through us. When we close our hearts to others and grieve the Holy Spirit the flow stops.

(1 John 3:17 NKJV) But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

(Proverbs 4:23 NKJV) Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is given through people to demonstrate God's love and power. Christ means the "Anointed One". Because Christ is in us the same anointing that He had on earth we also have.

(Luke 4:18-19 NKJV) "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; {19} To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

    1. The anointing is given to preach the Gospel to the poor
    2. The anointing is given to heal and restore people
    3. The anointing is given to proclaim freedom to the captives
    4. The anointing is given to open blind eyes
    5. The anointing is given to set people free
    6. The anointing flows in God's timing and proclaims God's timing

    1. The anointing is given to preach the Gospel to the poor, to bring the revelation of God's love to those who are seeking.

God's anointing flows to those who are hungry for a touch from His Holy Spirit. The anointing has less to do with the person that it flows through than it does with the person who receives it, and the One who sent it, God Almighty.

(Luke 6:19-20 NKJV) And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. {20} Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.

(Matthew 5:3 NKJV) "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The term poor here is the Greek word, ptochos which carries the implication of being a beggar, in this case a spiritual beggar hungry for the Spirit of God.

    • The anointing can be stifled if the people refuse to receive it from the person that God is sending it through. Things such as pride, envy, bitterness, and unforgiveness against an anointed person can prevent the receiver from accepting it. The anointed person must go to people that can receive it.

(Matthew 13:57-58 NKJV) So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house." {58} Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

(Matthew 10:13-14 NKJV) "If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. {14} "And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

    2. The anointing is given to heal and restore people

(Acts 10:36-38 NKJV) "The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ; He is Lord of all; {37} "that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: {38} "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

    3. The anointing is given to proclaim freedom to the captives

(2 Timothy 2:24-26 NKJV) And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, {25} in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, {26} and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

    4. The anointing is given to open blind eyes

(2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV) But even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, {4} whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

(Revelation 3:18 NKJV) "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

    5. The anointing is given to set people free

(Isaiah 10:27 NKJV) It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

(John 8:36 NKJV) "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

    6. The anointing flows in God's timing, and also proclaims God's timing

(Ephesians 2:10 NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. As we walk in the anointing of God we go where God wills, do what God wills, and say what God wills.

(John 8:28-29 NKJV) Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. {29} "And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him."

    • The anointing of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God

(John 4:10 NKJV) Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."

(John 4:13-14 NKJV) Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, {14} "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

(John 7:37-39 NKJV) On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. {38} "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." {39} But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

(2 Corinthians 1:20-22 NKJV) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. {21} Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, {22} who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

    • The anointing gives wisdom

(1 John 2:20 NKJV) But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

(1 John 2:27 NKJV) But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

(Isaiah 11:2 NKJV) The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

(Daniel 12:3 NKJV) Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

(Proverbs 11:30 NKJV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.

(Psalms 90:12 NKJV) So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

    • The anointing is the river of life that flows from the throne through your heart and penetrates other people's hearts

(Psalms 36:7-9 NKJV) How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. {8} They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. {9} For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.

(Psalms 46:4 NKJV) There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

(Revelation 21:6 NKJV) And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

(Revelation 22:1-2 NKJV) And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. {2} In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

(Revelation 22:17 NKJV) And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

    • As we continue in the river of God's anointing it intensifies until we are carried by it.

(Ezekiel 47:1-10 NKJV) Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. {2} He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. {3} And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. {4} Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. {5} Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. {6} He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?" Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river. {7} When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other. {8} Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. {9} "And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. {10} "It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many. Wherever the river goes it brings life. The fish in the above passage represent lost souls; the sea represents the sea of humanity, peoples and nations that need the Gospel message to come through God's anointed people.

    • The anointing is given to intercede for people

(Isaiah 59:16-21 NKJV) He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. {17} For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. {18} According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. {19} So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. {20} "The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob," Says the LORD. {21} "As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore." (Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV) Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. {2} For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

    • The free flowing anointing of God's love brings joy to God and that joy is felt by the person He flows through. Love is the joy we get from God when we put His benefit and the benefit of another person before our own.

(Psalms 45:3-7 NKJV) Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty. {4} And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. {5} Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The peoples fall under You. {6} Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. {7} You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

(Isaiah 58:6-12 NKJV) "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? {7} Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? {8} Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. {9} Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' "If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, {10} If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. {11} The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. {12} Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

    • Although there is great pleasure and joy in the anointing, because it is the presence of God, we are not to seek the joy, we are to seek God, and the benefit of others, the joy is a natural result of these things. The anointing is not given for the vessel it flows through; it is given for the one it flows to.

(Psalms 16:11 NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

(James 4:3 NKJV) You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

    • Everyone in the body of Christ is anointed with the Holy Spirit, and we all need to give from God's anointing to each other, and we all need to be able to receive the anointing that comes through other Christians.

(1 Corinthians 12:4-12 NKJV) There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. {5} There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. {6} And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. {7} But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: {8} for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, {9} to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, {10} to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. {11} But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. {12} For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

(Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, {12} for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, {13} till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; {14} that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, {15} but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head; Christ; {16} from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

    • The anointing is sacred, the anointing is the Holy Spirit, and all believers in Christ have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We must be careful what we say about our brothers and sisters in Christ.

(Matthew 12:31 NKJV) "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

(1 Chronicles 16:22-24 NKJV) Saying, "Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm." {23} Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. {24} Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.

    POWER OF ANOINTING

    Power of Anointing

Elisha was not the only one Elijah had anointed and prophesied over during his tenure as a prophet. Even though God trusted Elijah with this miraculous power, he was still a man and fell victim to the spirit of fear.
After Elijah had confronted 850 false prophets at Mt. Carmel and had them killed, Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, put the word out that she wanted Elijah's head. Now you would think that one woman would NOT frighten God's mighty prophet, but she did. Later, we find Elijah hiding in a cave in fear of Jezebel. God comes and speaks to Elijah asking him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" (I Kings 19:13)

    Under the Anointing

When you are under the power and anointing you can do all things; however, when the anointing has lifted you are vulnerable. In this case Elijah came under the power of the spirit of fear. We all can find ourselves from time to time wavering in our faith. Without the word of God dwelling within us, it is impossible to fulfill supernatural deeds.
In the gospel of John in the seventh verse of chapter 15, we find these words, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."
His word is always the solution to our problems.
Before we are to take on any major task, whether it is in our ministry or business, we must first find God. If we abide in Him then we will find His word. His word is always the solution to our problems.
Once we have found the Lord and His word, we then must be obedient. As long as we are walking in the word nothing can harm us. It is when we try to do things outside of His power that we create chaos. There have been many times in your life when you probably found God and His word without even knowing it.
Once you have become knowledgeable about His ways, you are then accountable for seeking Him and His answers to your problems. The more you study the Bible the more you are required to follow the Commandments that are written within it. Studying the written word of God should NOT be looked at as mere entertainment; you are accountable for every word within its contents.
Whenever a prophet is commanded to go and anoint someone, God always has a word for the anointed one.

    Operating in the Anointing

After Elijah had received the word of the Lord he was then able to go his way free from the spirit of fear, abiding in the word of the Lord. It was at this point that Elijah was commanded to anoint Jehu as King over Israel and Elisha as the prophet. Whenever a prophet is commanded to go and anoint someone, God always has a word for the anointed one. Many times that word will encompass their gift and calling. In Elisha's case the word was that whoever escaped the sword of the King, Elisha would kill.
We can also find in the New Testament where the word for Apostle Paul was given to Ananias to deliver. You may never have thought of Ananias as a prophet of God, but we do know that he prophesied over Apostle Paul.
In the 9th chapter of the book of Acts we find God giving Ananis a word for Paul who was formally known as Saul of Taurus. God said to Ananis, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, Kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake." (Acts 9:15) Then it is recorded that Ananis went to the house of Paul and laid hands on him and prophesied proclaiming His calling from God. At the same time, Paul received his sight and was filled with Holy Spirit.
Long after Apostle Paul's ministry was established, a prophet by the name of Agabus came and prophesied of certain tribulation that Paul would encounter. (Acts 21:10-14) Paul did not stop because of this word but rather recanted the prophecy as one being called into tribulation. (Acts 20:22,23)
Not everyone has the same function in the body of Christ and we are not cloned into the same format.

    Understanding God's Anointing

It is important to know what your calling entails. Trying to minister without this knowledge would only lead to mass confusion. Not everyone has the same function in the body of Christ and we are not cloned into the same format. The various callings of God are complicated and most often misunderstood by the majority of parishioners.
For example, many preach that we are ALL called, to what is referred to as the Great Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19) If this is true for everyone, then God must have forgotten to tell Apostle Paul, for he boast to the church at Corinth saying, "I thank god that I baptized NONE of you except Crispus and Gaius, lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name." (I Corinthians 1: 14, 1-5) Then he clarifies to everyone what his calling is, saying, "For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect." ( I Corinthians 1: 17)
The gift and calling of God are irrevocable. Meaning they cannot be changed or taken away from you. (Romans 11:29) On the other hand, there are few things you need to know. Note, this is important: if you do not follow your calling, the gift is not required to be there for you.
For example, let's say that you are called to preach on hearing and obeying God and the promise of God is that the gift of prophecy will be there to endorse your message. Now, if you preach on something other than hearing and obeying God the ministering spirit will not be there to minister for you. (Hebrews 1:14) I have witnessed too many people floundering around trying to make the gift work while being totally oblivious to their calling. This is the main reason most people are not seeing their gift work 100% of time in their ministry.
The gifts of God are not limited just to ministers. God anoints kings and rulers over many different areas of business and government. There are men and women who embrace a spiritual garment with a special anointing to do a specific task. Just because you have been called does not mean that you will reap a harvest immediately. There will be at least one sacrifice you will have to make when accepting the call of God and His promises. I was called to the banking industry and I was blessed with the power and anointing of God to do the job well. When the job is done and God calls you to something else, you better be packing you bags. Without the gift and calling you become powerless.
