• The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19).

    SINGING IN WORSHIP----4

    Singing In Worship (Part 4)

Since Christ never authorized mechanical instruments of music in the New Testament to be used in worship of the church, we might ask, when did man "take it upon himself" to start using them in trying to worship God?  It is a historical fact according to early church history, no mechanical instruments of music were ever used in church worship until about the year 670 A.D.  At this time the church at Rome introduced an organ which produced such disturbances that it was removed.  It was not until about 775 A.D. that it was introduced again, but this time it was kept, even with many people objecting.  The instrument was not accepted by many churches for many years.

    SINGING IN WORSHIP-----3

    Singing In Worship (Part 3)

In Ephesians 5:19 we read, "Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."  Also we read in Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching, and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."  Here we see in our singing, we are to speak, teach, and admonish one another.  This is what God expects us to do when we sing.

    SINGING IN WORSHIP---2

                          Singing In Worship (Part 2)

There are two different kinds of music: vocal and instrumental.  God has spoken in the New Testament concerning the kind of music we must use if we expect to worship Him in spirit and in truth, and that is singing.  Singing is the limit of God’s command.  God nowhere in the New Testament authorized mechanical instruments of music to be used in worship of the church.  A mechanical instrument of music cannot worship God.  Only with our voices can we sing praises to God.  God does not wish to be worshipped with a lifeless instrument.

    SINGING IN WORSHIP-----1

    Singing In Worship (Part 1)

Singing has a very definite place in worshipping God in spirit and in truth.  We glorify God in our singing praises to His name.  There are only nine scriptures in the New Testament which specify the kind of music in the worship of the church that God wishes in order for us to worship Him in spirit and in truth.  They are as follows:
    (1) Matthew 26:30, "And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives";
    (2) Acts 16:25, "But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God";
    (3) Romans 15:9, "For this reason I will confess you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name";

    OUR GIVING

                                               Our Giving
The way we give is an indication of our love for God.  All things belong to God.  God says in Psalms 50:10, "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills."  Everything we have received has come from God.  God has only loaned them to us. John 3:27 says, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from above."  We can never out-give God.  In Luke 6:38 we read, "Give and it shall be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."  We give so the Lord’s church can better carry out its mission here on earth.  The world must be evangelized, and the church must be edified, and the needy must be helped.

    PRAYER

    Prayer
In prayer we show our total dependence on God who created all things and us and by Whom all things continue to exist.  In prayer we give praise, honor, glory and reverence to His name for His greatness and goodness.  We recognize Him as the source of all blessings.  It is also the outpouring of our hearts desire.  In Romans 10:1 the apostle Paul says, "Brethern, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel, is that they might be saved."  Our prayer must come from our heart.

    ATTENDANCE OF WORSHIP

    Attendance Of Worship

Worship is a privilege only children of God have.  There are many blessings we receive from faithful attendance in worship.  God has commanded us to assemble regularly to worship Him in spirit and in  truth.  Hebrews 10:25-27 says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.  For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation."  When we forsake the assembly of the church, except for sickness or circumstances beyond our control, we are not only disobeying God, but we are robbing ourselves of all the benefits of worship which would have helped us to grow and become spiritually strong.

    WE MUST ONLY WORSHIP GOD

    We Must Only Worship God

Jesus said in Matthew 4:10, "You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve."  If we worship God in spirit and in truth, we cannot worship anyone or anything else.  Anything we worship, other than God, is an idol.  According to Webster, an idol is "an image used as an object or instrument of worship."

    Thursday 27 June 2013

WE MUST GIVE OUR BEST TO GOD

We Must Give Our Best To God

As we worship God, we give Him ourselves.  Romans 12:1 says, "I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service."  Under the Old Testament some of the Jews were not offering their best and were condemned for it.  In Malachi 1:8 we read, "And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, is it not evil?  And when you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?"  Is it not just as evil today when we do not give God our best?

    VAIN WORSHIP

    Vain Worship

Our Lord says in Mark 7:7, "And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."  When we follow the commandments of men instead of God’s instructions, our worship becomes vain.  If our worship is vain, it is empty, hollow, and useless.  It will do us no good.  If it is vain, it would be as though we had not worshipped God at all and we will be lost.  When we worship in the way "we want" then God is dishonored and insulted.  When we worship the way God has told us in His word, God is honored and glorified.

    ACCEPTABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE WORSHIP

    Acceptable And Unacceptable Worship

God has shown, in the Bible, His approval with those who follow His will and His displeasure and wrath with those who refuse to worship Him the way He has directed.  God has always been clear about how he is to be worshipped, but man has not listened.
An example of acceptable and unacceptable worship in the Old Testament is that of Cain and Abel.  Cain and Abel both worshipped God.  Abel did as God directed, but Cain tried to worship God the way he saw fit.  We read in Genesis 4:3-5, "And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of fruit of the ground to the Lord.  Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat.  And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering."

    WORSHIPPING GOD IN TRUTH---3

    Worshipping God In Truth
Jesus says in John 4:24, "God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."  We must worship God in truth.  Since His word is truth, we must worship Him according to His word.  Here the Lord is telling us that everything we do in worship, we must have God's divine approval.  Truth is not arbitrary.  Truth for one person is the same as truth for the next.  God has not spoken in unclear ways.

WORSHIP IS NOT FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT

Worship Is Not For Our Entertainment
There is an erroneous idea today that the main reason we attend worship is to "get something out of the service", rather than going there to give our worship to God.  This is a selfish motive on our part.  This is the reason people cannot be satisfied with the worship service when their emphasis is not on the proper object of worship, God.  People want to "do their own thing" in the worship of the church.  What the Bible has to say about worship for many people is of little consequence as long as they are happy and feel good.  We must be concerned with what God says on how He is to be worshipped instead of what we might want to offer Him.

    Worshipping God In Spirit---3

    Worshipping God In Spirit

Worshipping God "in spirit" means with reverence, attentiveness, and having the right purpose of honoring God, while understanding what we are doing.  Hebrews 12:28-29 says, "Let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.  For our God is a consuming fire."  Our worship must glorify God.  1 Corinthians 6:20 says, "For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

THE PURPOSE OF OUR WORSHIP OF GOD

The Purpose Of Our Worship Of God

The purpose of our worship is to glorify, honor, praise, exalt, and please God.  Our worship must show our adoration and loyalty to God for His grace in providing us with the way to escape the bondage of sin, so we can have the salvation He so much wants to give us.  The nature of the worship God demands is the prostration of our souls before Him in humble and contrite submission.  James 4:6, 10 tells us, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up".  Our worship to God is a very humble and reverent action.

    WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH---2

    Worship in spirit and truth:

Those who worship the Father must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth!!!
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."--(John 4:23-24)
...those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth...
Spirit and truth, so what is this spirit and truth?
Our spirit is the center of our being.  It is where our thoughts, beliefs, desires and our hopes reside.  And the Spirit of God is the one who knows the thoughts of God.  We must have a clear conscience and a pure heart in order to worship God properly in our spirits.  We are told to be clear minded and self-controlled so you can pray (commune with God).  The same is true of worship, we must enter his sanctuary being dead to ourselves and alive through Jesus Christ.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF JOHN 4:24?

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF JOHN 4:24?
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”
WE BELIEVE that the so-called “Christian world” today desperately needs to make a serious study of the subject of worship. A lot of strange, unusual and irregular things are “going on” in the name of worship. And, tragically, so much of it seems to be carnal, man-centered and in the category of entertainment (thus, contrary to the Scriptures). A generation brought up on television is more disposed toward entertainment. Somewhere along the way dignity and respect have given way to the ways of the world.
A good place to begin such a study would be in John chapter 4. In anticipation of the coming New Testament, which was imminent, Jesus profoundly said to the Samaritan woman at the well, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24, NKJV). What does this mean, in the light of the immediate context, and what are more extended thoughts from the New Testament that need to be considered on this subject?

WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

In John 4:24, Jesus tells us that we MUST worship God in spirit and truth. What does this mean? How do we worship God in spirit and truth? I hope that this page will give you a better understanding of how to worship God this way.
John 4:23-24 ...'But the hour cometh, and now is, when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth.'

THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him"  Rom 5:6-9 (NKJV).
Blood! There is something unique, different and striking about blood. Its appearance, smell and texture. The impact it has on the senses. The lasting impression it leaves on the mind. No other substance has so great an effect on the human psyche than blood. Peoples, cultures and nations across the face of the Earth recognize blood as a symbol of life and death. Without blood there can be no life, strength or sustenance. The freedom of many has been established upon the shedding of blood. Throughout history, blood has been the basis for agreements and covenants alike. And God Himself has shed His precious blood for the salvation of all humankind.

    CHRIST"S BLOOD CLEANSES FROM SIN

    Christ's Blood Cleanses from Sin
“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN” (1st John1:7).
Praying DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
Joining a church DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
Living a good life DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
Being baptized in water DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
Partaking of the sacraments DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
Committing your life to Jesus DOES NOT cleanse from sin.
THE BLOOD OF JESUS — HIS BLOOD ALONE — cleanses from sin!
“For THE WAGES OF SIN is death; but the GIFT OF GOD IS eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Sin pays singular wages: DEATH! Christ died for our sins “according to the Scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:3).
It took the DEATH OF JESUS, and the shedding of HIS BLOOD, to pay sin's debt, and bring REDEMPTION FROM SIN.

THE ANOINTING BRINGS INDEFATIGABLE INDUSTRY FOR SERVICE

The Anointing Brings Indefatigable Industry For Service

“Hereby He showed that He was sent of God, Who is good and does good; and does good because He is good: and Who hereby left not Himself without witness to the world, in that He did good, Act_14:17. And in this He hath set us an example of indefatigable industry in serving God and our generation; for we came into the world that we might do all the good we can in it; and therein, like Christ, we must always abide and abound.” --Rev.Joyal

You ask – what is "indefatigable industry”? It is tireless, inexhaustible, unsleeping, unwearied, unwavering, determined, unfailing, hard-working, and diligent efforts, undertakings, service, and pursuits. In other words, the anointing stirs people to labor. Said another way – if you claim to be anointed of God and are lazy, you are deceived!

    The Anointing of Jesus

    The Anointing of Jesus

    Matthew 26:6-13
While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."
Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

    THE FAITH OF JESUS

    THE FAITH OF JESUS

What is the "Faith of Jesus"? "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:5.
Is the "faith of Jesus" part of your home life? Perhaps you have not given much thought to this aspect of the gospel message. Many, even among ministers, readily acknowledge that their understanding of this subject is rather limited, and yet, it is of equal importance to the commandments of God.

    Receiving the anointing-----2

    Receiving the anointing

How can we experience and retain the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives?
Jesus had told the disciples to wait until they received the power of the Holy Spirit. When He came, they knew a new boldness to proclaim the gospel and a new power as they healed the sick and performed other miracles.
The Holy Spirit had poured the love of God into their hearts. [Rom 5:5] He had baptised them with fire. [Luke 3:16]

GOD WILL ANOINT YOU FOR BATTLE

God Will Anoint You For Battle

As we all know, and as we explained to you in our article titled, “Trials and Tribulations – The Testing of Your Faith,” most people in this life will have to face a certain amount of trials and tribulations, and this includes every single Christian.
In the above article, we give you all of the main verses from the Bible as to why this has to occur even to Christians who are fully serving the Lord and walking in His perfect will for their lives.
In this article I want to point out and highlight for you, that even though we all have to go through a certain amount of trials and tribulations in this life, God will still be with you and help you get through each storm cloud that will come into your life. God will not leave you, forsake you, or turn His back on you just because you have fallen into the middle of a severe trial.
If you are walking in a true full surrender with the Lord where He is now in full control of your entire life, then what you will find occurring as you go through each storm cloud in your life, is that God will anoint you right in the middle of each of these trials. And when God anoints you in the heat of these battles, you will literally have the power of the Holy Spirit Himself flowing and operating through you so you can make it all the way to the end of the trial and come out with a complete victory if that is how God will want it to turn out.

You need an anointing to minister for God

You need an anointing to minister for God

Exodus 40:13: And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
The priest is to minister to God. What that means is that the priest serve as intermediary and sees to the relationship between God and the people. The priests serve the will of God when it comes to the spiritual link of the people to God.

    TODAY"S ANOINTING

    Living in today's anointing

"Therefore we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, extricating ourselves from all the weight and the sin that easily besets us, let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking firmly to the Author and Counselor Faith, Jesus, who, for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sits at the right hand of the throne of God." Heb. 12:1-2
Running the race with perseverance, it is only possible if we are under the anointing. What Luke 5:37,38 tells us: "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins, because the new wine will burst the skins, it will spill the wine and the bottles shall perish. Rather, new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved. "

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE ANOINTING

How to qualify for the Anointing

It’s one thing knowing how to operate in the anointing, but you can’t unless you’ve first “qualified” for the anointing. What must you do in order to qualify for the anointing? Here are seven things that must be present:
    (1) You must be humble. Proverbs 16:19 says, “Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.” Proverbs 29:23 states, “A man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly spirit gains honour.” Basically, to be humble means to be submissive - in submission. It means taking your authority, success, power, talents and independence and yielding them to God. It is the act of deliberately stepping down in order to look upward - to where your help comes from.
If you are going to enjoy the success that the anointing brings you, you will have to remain humble. By humbling yourself and allowing the Holy Spirit to exalt you, you demonstrate the right attitude. An attitude that’s pleasing to God. James 4:6 tells us that God resists (opposes) the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. Humility and grace are a perfect match, and the anointing flourishes in such an environment.

THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE ANOINTING---2

The Holy Spirit and the Anointing
What is the difference between singing songs about God and praising the LORD? What is the difference between saying some prayers to God and communing with God? The Holy Spirit manifest makes all the difference. The presence of the Holy Spirit brings anointing, a quickening, a God breathed encounter.

John 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I would compare His presence to giving mouth to mouth resuscitation. That is as we purpose in our hearts to draw unto God - or when we respond to the call of the Holy Spirit drawing us closer- the Holy Spirit breathes in us and through us. The very life of God Himself flows through our being and we are refreshed, renewed, ignited, full of passion and the love of God.

There is nothing on earth that compares to the anointing. There is no more powerful encounter or communion. We were created to be filled with God's presence and when we yield to God and He fills us fresh with His Spirit - we are empowered in a mighty way. Suddenly the spirit man within us is large, like a balloon that has been filled with helium.

We are lifted into the realm of spirit and The Holy Spirit in us leads the way. The first response we have is usually an overwhelming sense of peace, love, joy. Those who are new to God's presence may manifest behaviour that seems strange. For example they may tremble or shake or cry or laugh. The Holy Spirit is the very power of God plugged right into our spirit - a powerful jolt of life.

Favor From the Holy Spirit and the Three Anointing Levels

Favor From the Holy Spirit and the Three Anointing Levels

Who Gets Favor And Anointing And What The Purpose Is
Living in the anointing is a must in these last days. It is what gives Christians the advantage over the world. Anointing is thrown around a lot in the church and really most Christians don't understand it, but in this article I'm going to be talking about anointing in depth and how to walk in divine empowerment.
If you have been redeemed you are at 1 of 3 levels of anointing. You are anointed for the purpose to give something to another. Anointing does not mean that you are super religious, super righteous or super blessed. Learn about what anointing involves before you pray for it because you will pay a price for it. There is no me thing when it comes to anointing. The higher the level of anointing the bigger responsibility you will have to the Lord and to others. The higher your calling, the bigger the problem God puts before you to solve for others.
Isaiah 10:27, says that in that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck, the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat (in the spirit).
What Isaiah is saying here is that you will be endued with power to destroy burdens and yokes and the bondage of others. This is the works of Christ that we will do in his name. Anointing is ability from God to do things, to change things and to accomplish your assignment. It is a divine enabling. It's when God puts his super on your natural. It is being able to do something you could not do in your own power and you demonstrate that unnatural power.

GOD TAKES CONTROL OF WORSHIP: THE ANOINTING

GOD TAKES CONTROL OF WORSHIP: THE ANOINTING
'But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.' (Acts 1:8)
The anointing brings us into a new realm in worship where the Holy Spirit takes control of the worship. This was not the case in the earlier levels of worship where the worshipper was always in control. The believers on the day of Pentecost were worshipping, but the Holy Spirit was leading them in worship. If we always want to be in control we will not be able to enter into anointed worship. The anointing makes the Lord Jesus more precious to us, gives us a new tongue to praise Him and fills us with a boldness to be worshipping witnesses to the Lord Jesus.
Jesus told His disciples that they would receive power to be witnesses, but the baptism with the Holy Spirit is more than an empowerment to witness; it is an empowerment for worship. The believers were anointed to be worshipping witnesses. Being a witness to the Lord Jesus Christ can never be separated from being a worshipper. The Baptism with the Holy Spirit brought the believers into a higher realm of worship, the anointing. This higher level of worship is the means of drawing multitudes to Christ.

    CHRIST ANOINTED....

Christ Anointed Priest and King --joyalministries

    Christ was Anointed
    both Priest and King

This is an excerpt from a treatise on the Trinity by Faustinus (aka Faustus) Luciferanus, an Early Church Father who most probably wrote his treatise "De Trinitate" around 380 AD at the request of the wife of the Emperor Theodosius (Nn. 39-40; CCl 69, 340-341). It shows how our Savior Jesus Christ was anointed with the Holy Spirit, the oil of gladness, as both priest and king. In this he is unlike all Old Testament figures except Melchizedek. It is used in the Roman Catholic Office of Readings for the 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time with the accompanying biblical reading taken from I Samuel 16:1-13, reccounting the anointing of King David by the prophet Samuel.

    ANOINTED PREACHING

    Anointed Preaching

Preaching is preaching only when the messenger is anointed with the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul tells how he arrived in the city of Corinth not dependent upon self-assurance, self-assertiveness, or a powerful personality, “but in demonstration of the Spirit and power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). In fact, Paul stresses the contrasting difference, “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God” (vv. 2-5).

Only the anointing of the Holy Spirit can make great preaching. Paul was concerned that nothing distract from the message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We live in a day that puts much of the emphasis on the attractiveness of the clever mind and entertainment.

    PULLING ON THE ANOINTING

    Pulling on the Anointing
    By joyalministries
It is common practise in the church today to encourage people to 'pull on the anointing' to minister. What exactly is being taught, what do people mean when they talk about the anointing and what place do we have in the exercise of ministry? These are the questions I wish to address today.

    What is 'the anointing'
It is difficult to determine what people actually mean by the anointing. In various meetings it has come to mean various things. It is used to describe the spiritual atmosphere of a meeting, "The anointing is so strong here". It is used to describe the spiritual manifestation in a meeting, "Can you see the anointing on him?". It is used to describe feelings, emotions or the 'buzz' during ministry, "I can feel the anointing". It can be used to describe a minister, "He is so anointed".
Benny Hinn controversially equates anointing with power, saying "hunger for this precious anointing on your life, prepare for it and experience the marvelous effects God's touch will have on your life. A vital, life-changing experience with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will introduce you to the power of God so you can act in that power."

    GETTING A POWERFUL ANOINTING

    Getting a Powerful Anointing

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." (Acts 10:38)
"As He sent me, so I send you." (John 20:21)
Have you ever seen a man of God in action operating in the gift of working of miracles? Usually, its all over in a few seconds! A few words of command are uttered in Jesus' name, and the person discovers they are well again! What a wonderful way to glorify Jesus Christ! And it seems to happen so simply, so quickly. But at the same time, another man or woman says similar words over a sick or suffering person, and nothing seems to happen. What is the difference? The difference lies in the action of the Holy Spirit. It is actually the Holy Spirit who works the miracle.
Think about it. The same words are spoken. In one case, a miracle takes place, in another, nothing seems to happen. Perhaps over time if this continues, doubt and frustration begin to set in.
If the Holy Spirit does not work with us, nothing is going to happen, and we will dishonor the name of Jesus. Jesus is the Christ, which means, the Anointed One. Like Jesus, we need to be anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus did no miracles on earth before he was anointed with power, and neither will we.
The Bible says we have an anointing - but how strong is it?

    ANOINTING VERSUS LIFE

    JOYALMINISTRIES

    Anointing Versus Life

Dear Christian Friend, did you know that there is a difference between having the anointing of God and possessing the nature of God? Are you aware that most believers today cannot tell the difference between the two? What about you? Do you know the difference? If not, please take a few moments to read this pamphlet.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised...

Just knowing the magnitude of His investment can make a difference to our walk with the Lord. When we realize that God doesn't operate by gender, class or race, but by anointing, we're freed from bondage, traditions, and limited thinking.

Paul said: "For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints." FACTS ABOUT THE ANOINTING

    1. Anointing makes the difference in the ministry. Without the anointing you will be among the rest and not among the best.

    2. Where there is anointing, there can be no annoyance. Anointing subdues all the works of the flesh and shuts-up the mouths of the opponents against you and your ministry.

    3. Anointing can be lost through sin, pride, carelessness and negligence. Samson is a good example of this. Without carefulness, watchfulness and self-denial, it quickly leaks away.

    4. Anointing must be kept fresh always. Leave the oil in a place for a period of time and it dries up. You must do everything to preserve the freshness of the anointing. There is always the need for constant check up and renewal.

    5. Anointing can grow stale. You will always need fresh anointing everyday. Yesterday's anointing can never be sufficient for today.

    6. Anointing does not make anyone reckless. Character and personal growth will keep you longer in the anointing and without them, recklessness and exuberance will ruin you fast.

    7. Growing anointing demands efforts and sacrifice. Your level of anointing will continually rise as long as you are ready to pay the right price for it.

    8. More than the anointing, you need the Holy Spirit Himself. He is not only the personification of divine energy, but a wholesome person that desires
our fellowship, communion and interaction. His presence will always produce greater power in your life.

    PROTECT THEANOINTING----2

    Protect the Anointing

    What are we here for?
I mean we are saved, we would go to heaven if we died so what are we still doing here?
I think we can all agree that the only reason we are still here is that God wants to use us to lead others to Christ.
We already know that the bible says that God does not want anyone to perish but wants all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus.
We also know that the only way people are going to hear about Jesus and be able to experience Him is if we tell them,. See Romans 10:14
So now then what are the tools we need as believers to effectively communicate our message?
Most Christians would agree the most important tool we need is
    Love…
The apostle Paul said if we love we have fulfilled the whole law. Galatians 5:14
    Arguably we also need:
    Faith
    Knowledge of the word
    Boldness

OK…all those are true…and we need all those…
But what I want to talk about now is probably the most powerful and most misunderstood characteristic of the effective Christian witness.
Have you ever heard the same scripture explained by 2 different people and from one it had an impact and from the other it just fell flat?

    The Anointing Makes the Difference---3

    The Anointing Makes the Difference
Moreover the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 23 "Also take for yourself quality spices — five hundred shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much sweet-smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty shekels), two hundred and fifty shekels of sweet-smelling cane, 24 five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil. 25 And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil. 26 With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the Testimony; 27 the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense; 28 the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base. 29 You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them must be holy. 30 And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests. 31 "And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations. 32 It shall not be poured on man's flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. 33 Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be cut off from his people.'"
    INTRODUCTION
Over the years of studying the Bible I’ve noticed that the concept of anointing is very important in Scripture. The first reference in the Bible to anointing is in Exodus 25:6 where the “anointing oil” is mentioned. In that text, the Lord tells Moses to collect an offering from the people, and in the list of things to collect from the people God includes spices and sweet incense for the anointing oil. Think about that for moment. The very first reference to anointing is in the context of taking an offering, and in fact, the offering would contain the substance out of which the anointing oil would be manufactured.
Has it ever occurred to any of us, that one of the keys to our anointing may be what we are putting into the offering? This isn’t the tithe we’re talking about here, but the offering. The anointing oil was created out of the offerings of the people.

    THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANOINTING----2

    OPERATIVE VERSE
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.”
    I Corinthians 12:4-6

    Anointing:
Hebrew- maw-shakh’ also mishchah Verb (Denotes action, not passivity)

    Definition
    1. to smear, anoint, spread a liquid a. (Qal) 1. to smear 2. to anoint (as consecration) 3. to anoint, consecrate b. (Niphal) to be anointed

In accordance to scripture, the anointing pertains to the sacred, to the Divine and to things or persons consecrated or devoted to God. The anointing is no toy to play with or something to be used for one’s selfish benefit or self gratification.

“And a voice spoke to him again a second time, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’” Acts 10:15

The issue in this verse is the Lord revealing to Peter that the Lord had made a way for the Gentiles to be saved. But the principle is that we must not treat as common what the Lord as decreed or made holy. Therefore, we must hold the anointing of the Holy Spirit in holiness, in the fear of God and in humility.

But there is more than one anointing. According to scripture that are differences in the anointing, as pertaining to the work of the Holy Spirit. The different operations of the anointing is: The Priestly Anointing, the Kingly Anointing, the Anointing of Suffering, the Anointing of Wisdom, the Anointing of Freedom, The Prophetic Anointing, the Giving Anointing, and the Anointing of Healing.
