WHAT IS JESUS DOING IN HEAVEN TODAY?

What is Jesus doing in Heaven today? Is he in the most Holy place of the sanctuary?

To find the answer to this question, we need to turn to the book of Hebrews. Heb 9:11-14 "When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God" NIV

WHAT IS JESUS DOING RIGHT NOW

what is JESUS doing right now

    INTRODUCTION:

If we had a telescope capable of peering into the highest heaven, what would we see Jesus doing right now. What is His present ministry?

    WHAT IS JESUS DOING NOW...

Have you ever wondered what Jesus is doing, now that He has ascended to heaven? [Hebrews 10:10–14] tells us that after offering Himself as a sacrifice for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. Verse 13 might lead us to believe He is simply sitting up there waiting for the time when He comes back to rule and reign on earth. But when we consider other passages, we soon realize He is quite active on our behalf.

    What happened after the Resurrection?

    What happened after the Resurrection?

Christians around the world have spent a lot of time over the last few weeks pondering the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ death and resurrection (and here at the Bible Gateway blog, we spent plenty of time discussing them too). During Easter week, we read the familiar stories of the Triumphal Entry, the Last Supper, the crucifixion… and then with the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, the story ends. Right?

    SEVEN ASSURENCE OF JESUS RESURRECTION

    1. The resurrection of Christ assures us God has accepted Christ's sacrifice for our sins. The resurrection is proof that Jesus is who he claimed to be – the Messiah – the Savior of mankind – and that his sacrifice on the cross was pleasing to God. As long as Jesus lay in the tomb he was just another tragic religious figure who suffered a martyr's death. But when God raised Jesus from the dead, it was His stamp of "paid in full" on the invoice of our sin debt. Now believing sinners can be certain that in Christ they are justified.

The Bible says, "He [Jesus] was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification" (Rom. 4:25). "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom. 10:9).

    Reflection.

On Easter Sunday, the Church is recollected in contemplation of the risen Christ. Thus she relives the primordial experience that lies at the basis of her existence. She feels imbued with the same wonder as Mary Magdalen and the other women who went to Christ's tomb on Easter morning and found it empty.

    Jesus and Easter

What is the meaning of Easter?Easter is the day when we celebrate Jesus Christ rising from the dead. Jesus is the Son of God and heroically gave His life to die for our sins. On the third day after He died -- the day we now celebrate as Easter Sunday -- His friends went to His grave, and found that He had risen from the dead. They saw an angel who told them, "Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead, just as He said it would happen."

    THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

"Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important?"

The resurrection of Jesus is important for several reasons. First, it witnesses to the immense power of God Himself. To believe in the resurrection is to believe in God. If God exists, and if He created the universe and has power over it, He has power to raise the dead. If He does not have such power, He is not a God worthy of our faith and worship. Only He who created life can resurrect it after death, only He can reverse the hideousness that is death itself, and only He can remove the sting that is death and the victory that is the grave’s (1 Corinthians 15:54-55). In resurrecting Jesus from the grave, God reminds us of His absolute sovereignty over life and death.

Almighty God, to whom your crucified Son prayed for the forgiveness of those who did not know what they were doing, grant that we, too, may be included in that prayer. Whether we sin out of ignorance or intention, be merciful to us and grant us your acceptance and peace: in the name of Jesus Christ, our suffering Savior. Amen.

Christ Jesus died on the Cross to redeem mankind, to save us from our sins because of his love for us. As recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ was mocked, scorned, and tortured in the praetorium. He carried his cross up the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem to Calvary, was nailed to the Cross and hung between two common criminals, and suffered an indescribable end, recalled by the Church on Good Friday of Holy Week.

"I love you. And I want to spend time with you." That's God's message to you today and every day. You see, how you spend your time and the decisions you make each day are very important to Him. Do you realize how much it grieves God to know exactly what you need and, yet, rather than choose to spend time with Him to get the answers, you make other choices?

    RUTH....

Rth 3:3 Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: [but] make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.

Washing, anointing, putting on of raiment, and getting thee ready for the threshing floor!

Ruth 3:3 is a loaded verse, within this little verse holds a frame work for bridal preparation. Ruth is the barley bride, which is a type of bride of Christ. The bride of Christ will be and should be in constant preparation for his return. Many belong to HIM, but few take the time or make the preparation for meeting him face to face. The bride will be the bride because she will be making herself ready.

    THE WALK

    JOYALMINISTRIES

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
We are to do justly. That means in every situation, and in every decision we face, we need to choose to do the right thing from God’s perspective. This will not always be the easiest way, nor is it the most profitable, but it will always agree with God, His will and His Word.
We are to love mercy. Mercy is a broad term that refers to benevolence, forgiveness and kindness in a variety of ethical, religious, social and legal contexts. If we love mercy, we will be merciful in our attitude and demeanor toward one another, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Word tells us that God’s mercy is new every morning, and ours should be as well.
GOD TAKES CONTROL OF WORSHIP: THE ANOINTING
'But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.' (Acts 1:8)
The anointing brings us into a new realm in worship where the Holy Spirit takes control of the worship. This was not the case in the earlier levels of worship where the worshipper was always in control. The believers on the day of Pentecost were worshipping, but the Holy Spirit was leading them in worship. If we always want to be in control we will not be able to enter into anointed worship. The anointing makes the Lord Jesus more precious to us, gives us a new tongue to praise Him and fills us with a boldness to be worshipping witnesses to the Lord Jesus.

    Anointed Preaching

Preaching is preaching only when the messenger is anointed with the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul tells how he arrived in the city of Corinth not dependent upon self-assurance, self-assertiveness, or a powerful personality, “but in demonstration of the Spirit and power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). In fact, Paul stresses the contrasting difference, “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God” (vv. 2-5).
    Anointing Versus Life
Dear Christian Friend, did you know that there is a difference between having the anointing of God and possessing the nature of God? Are you aware that most believers today cannot tell the difference between the two? What about you? Do you know the difference? If not, please take a few moments to read this pamphlet.

    Christ Anointed Priest and King

    Christ was Anointed
    both Priest and King

This is an excerpt from a treatise on the Trinity by Faustinus (aka Faustus) Luciferanus, an Early Church Father who most probably wrote his treatise "De Trinitate" around 380 AD at the request of the wife of the Emperor Theodosius (Nn. 39-40; CCl 69, 340-341).  It shows how our Savior Jesus Christ was anointed with the Holy Spirit, the oil of gladness, as both priest and king.  In this he is unlike all Old Testament figures except Melchizedek.  It is used in the Roman Catholic Office of Readings for the 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time with the accompanying biblical reading taken from I Samuel 16:1-13, reccounting the anointing of King David by the prophet Samuel.

    Lord, Double My Anointing

And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. (I Samuel 16:11- 12). But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anoined with fresh oil (Psalms 92:10). Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us (Romans  8:30-31).

The Anointing is in You - Release It!

Just knowing the magnitude of His investment can make a difference to our walk with the Lord. When we realize that God doesn't operate by gender, class or race, but by anointing, we're freed from bondage, traditions, and limited thinking.

    THE EXTERNAL ANOINTING

As you read the Old Testament you see the same expression appearing again and again. It says, "And the Spirit of God came upon Gideon..."
"And the Spirit of God came upon Samson..."
"And the Spirit of God came upon Saul ..."
"The Spirit of God came upon ..." You see that same expression again and again,
"The Spirit of God came upon ..." Well, it is that same picture of the anointing oil. It is the same picture of oil being poured on top of a person, onto his head and running down and spreading over his whole body. It is an anointing that is external. It comes from without and comes upon the person. It comes upon their body and seeps into their soul and into their spirit and fills and saturates them.
It is like being caught in a rainstorm or walking in a rain forest. It is like having a thundershower suddenly coming down on you. It is going to drench you. It is going to make you wet. Such is the external anointing. This is the anointing that came upon the prophets and they prophesied. We read how Samuel said to Saul that the anointing would come upon him and he would prophesy.

The Anointing Makes the Difference joyalministries
22 Moreover the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 23 "Also take for yourself quality spices — five hundred shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much sweet-smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty shekels), two hundred and fifty shekels of sweet-smelling cane, 24 five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil. 25 And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil. 26 With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the Testimony; 27 the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense; 28 the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base. 29 You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them must be holy. 30 And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests. 31 "And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations. 32 It shall not be poured on man's flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. 33 Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be cut off from his people.'"

Thank You God for Your Anointing, But I Want Your Glory!

"And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory" (Exudos 33:18). Now this is a bold request Moses asked of God. The Word of God tells us, "But, He said, you cannot see My face, for no one may see Me and live" (Exudos 33:20). When you are asking for the glory of God, you better be ready to die to your flesh, because it can not live in the presence of God.

    Protect the Anointing

    What are we here for?
I mean we are saved, we would go to heaven if we died so what are we still doing here?
I think we can all agree that the only reason we are still here is that God wants to use us to lead others to Christ.
    FACTS OF THE ANOINTING
    1. Anointing makes the difference in the ministry. Without the anointing you will be among the rest and not among the best.

    2. Where there is anointing, there can be no annoyance. Anointing subdues all the works of the flesh and shuts-up the mouths of the opponents against you and your ministry.

    3. Anointing can be lost through sin, pride, carelessness and negligence. Samson is a good example of this. Without carefulness, watchfulness and self-denial, it quickly leaks away.

    THE ANOINTING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

    joyalministries

We are living in a day and time where everyone wants to accomplish great things in life. Everyone is chasing success and power. Even in the church people have a strong desire to do the will of God on earth for themselves. But people do not understand that it is not going to be accomplished through your own power or strength. Zechariah 4:6 states that it is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit(who produces the anointing). The anointing is an empowerment from God through the Holy Spirit which causes the believer to become fruitful, fat, powerful, conquering, successful, spiritual and blessed to accomplish God's purpose and plan for your life, for others spiritual growth, development and strength. You can not fulfill God's purpose without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The anointing transforms you from natural to supernatural, from weak to strong and from fearful to faith-filled. It transforms you from Clark Kent to SUPERMAN! Glory!!

    The Anointing Makes The Difference

Have you heard statements like; “The anointing makes the difference!” “Lord, give me a fresh anointing!”, “I’m anointed”, “Boy, you sure are anointed”, “Touch not thy anointed” “Walk in your anointing!”, “Protect Your anointing”, and “Don’t let people prostitute your anointing”.

    FOR THE ANOINTING

God in His infinite mercies want you to excel and be favored above your contemporaries. The journey for the power and anointing of God is necessary so that God will be glorified in your services to Him. It is the journey for Divine promotion, blessings, exploits and enthronement. Matthew Skariah in his interesting book, "Forbidden Zone" wrote, "Anointing is the fruit of brokenness. When God anoints his vessel that vessel sparkles"

    Miracle Anointing
I believe in One God, creater of all things, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God loved and loves as us enough to die for our sins.
Jesus was with God from the beginning and is both fully God Divine and was fully Man.
He was born of a virgin through the work of the Holy Spirit. He came into the world to destroy the power of the devil and bring in the Kingdom of God and salvation for all who would put their trust in Him.

    THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Much is being spoken today about the Kingdom of God. We are truly on the threshold of the Kingdom Age. Before we enter into the Kingdom Age, we need to understand what the word kingdom is all about.
The word kingdom means "the king's domain". The word domain means "to rule over, or the king's area of power and authority". Our Lord Jesus Christ has a Kingdom, and His domain in our lives is the area He has power and authority over. Until we give Him all power and authority, we can not truly say we are part of His Kingdom.

    PRAISE BRINGS- REVIVAL ANOINTING

    JOYALMINISTRIES

We covered this in the anointing. How does the anointing come? How does revival power come? Does it not come when spirits come in unison looking to the Lord, pouring unto Him? That is when revival power comes. If you want revival power; if you want revival anointing, get together with somebody and start praising the Lord. Get together.

    PALM SUNDAY....

I wish simply to remind you this morning of a familiar story from the Bible. It began early Sunday morning (Palm Sunday, we call it today) as Jesus was walking toward Jerusalem. He stops for a moment & sends 2 of his disciples into a nearby village to carry out a special errand. Here is how Luke 19:29-31 records that event:

“GOD HAS ANOINTED… APPOINTED… AND CALLED YOU!!!”

Because you are fearfully and wonderfully made and God has created you for “Greatness”… Refuse to be an “average” christian who just goes through the motions in serving God… but determine that you are not just going to eat the crumbs that fall from God’s table… but you are going to pull up a chair and eat at the banquet table of life that God has prepared for you… that you are going to have the full-course meal… (appetizer, entree and dessert)…
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” (Psalm 23:5)

    THE LORD AND HIS ANOINTED

    CALL OF THE KINGDOM

    JOYALMINISTRIES

There is a new presence of the father for His people to arise into His likeness today. We are summoned to join the angels and "thrust in the sickle and reap the harvest of the earth, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." The church system is soon to arise out of her dark night, for a people are eminently to emerge out of her ashes, and arise into Christ and His glory. The Father has always called out a new people by revelation to initiate a new order and a higher level of realization in Christ.

RESIDENT ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Jesus declared that Christians can do the works that He did.
    In Act 19:12

Paul was so full of the Holy Spirit that the cloths that he sent out carried the same anointing that Paul had. This is called the "Resident anointing of the Holy Spirit."

We have the same ability to pass the anointing to an item whether it is a cloth as Paul did or an object such as a soap, water, toy, garment, food, perfum, chair, use your imagination, if we are full of the Holy Spirit.
    GOD SPEAKS THROUGH ANOINTED HANDS
    1 John 2:27 NLT
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you , so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you all things, and what he teaches is true — it is not a lie. So continue in what he has taught you, and continue to live in Christ.
    1 Cor 6:19-20 NLT
...Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

    TWO ANOINTINGS FOR EVERYONE

Surprise: God has already anointed you. You may or may not be walking in the full understanding or benefit of that anointing, but if you are a Christian, you have received at least one anointing. One purpose of this study is to help you see when, how and why God has anointed you and how you can walk in it more fully. The other purpose is to help some believers realize there is more anointing available to them.

    Communion with the Lord

Nothing should be more important than walking in unbroken fellowship and communion with the Lord. The writer of the book of Hebrews states in Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” We are commanded to pursue consecration and holiness. The warning is all too clear - without holiness no one will see the Lord. God will not share His anointing and power with unclean vessels. “…purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the Lord” (Isaiah 52:11).

    Anointed Faith

    joyalministries

So many times we see the evangelist pray for the sick and nothing happens, and we are made to wonder, for we feel that if Jesus healed them, they would have received their healing; but yet, it is a true fact that Jesus could do no more than faith would permit. The Scriptures tell you that He went about healing all manner of sickness, or every sickness among the people, which does not mean every person, but every kind of disease at one time or another; but we have the Scriptures that tell us that Jesus entered into certain cities, and there could do no mighty works because of their unbelief. Evangelists enter into certain cities or churches where people were not taught faith, or He will harden their hearts against the Word, and no mighty works of God are done.

    ANOINTING..........

    JOYALMINISTRIES

    John:5:41

It’s impossible to have a heart with divided interests. If you seek out the praise of men, you disqualify yourself from the greatest move of God. He’s looking for those broken in Spirit every moment of every day. When Holy Spirit gets total control He will try His best to break you. Some need to stop looking for the next season of your life and plant yourself I what’s He’s told you to do. Obedience purges us, and it’s much better than sacrifice. It’s pivotal that you stay attached to the Vine because when you start thinking that you’re the source you start relying on your anointing and not Jesus. The anointing is just the vehicle for God to get things done.
    DEAD FLIES
    in the Anointing
MAIN TEXT: Ecclesiastes 10:1 (KJV) Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

    THE PRESENCE....

The Anointing, The Glory, The Presence, and The Victory. This is a divine progression that leads to victory over Satan’s power. It is a God-given gift that enables us to live the victorious Christian life.

The anointing is God’s power on us that breaks the yoke of bondage that Satan puts on us. The anointing is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that brings the gifts of the Holy Spirit into action. The anointing comes when you stir up the Holy Spirit who dwells in you.

THE ANOINTING WAS ABLE TO CHANGE..........???

In 1 Kings 18:41 Elijah tells Ahab to go up, eat and drink for there is the sound of abundance of rain. Elijah was making a demand on the anointing to bring forth the increase upon the earth during a time of drought. The anointing was able to change the course of nature. The anointing was able to change circumstances. Facts are subject to change, and sudden change when the anointing speaks with the authority of God.

    WORSHIP: THE ANOINTING

    POWER OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

    By joyalministries
Acts 16:23-26 “And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
    (24) Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
    (25) And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
    (26) And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”

    DISCOVERING YOUR ANOINTING
    joyalministries

The study of the Word of God reveals that anyone of us has an anointing from heaven.

EXODUS 31: 3 declares: "And I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship."

That was anointing for individual and not specially minister unto God, he was anointed.

    Anointing Brings Spiritual Healing

    JOYALMINISTRIES

The reality of the priestly community can be said to be fulfilled and revealed in an especially meaningful way in the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, about which St. James wrote: "Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the Church, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven" (Jas 5:14-15).
As we see, the Letter of James recommends initiative on the part of the sick person who, personally or through his loved ones, asks for the priests to come. It could be said that the common priesthood is already being exercised here in a personal act of participating in the community of life enjoyed by the "saints," that is, by those who have been consecrated in the Holy Spirit, whose anointing is sought. But the letter also shows us that giving help to the sick through anointing is a duty of the priestly ministry performed by "presbyters." This is another time when the priestly community is realized through harmonious and active participation in a sacrament.

The Spirit and Power of Elijah

    JOYALMINISTRIES

"And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous--to make ready a people prepared for the Lord" (Luke 1:17 NIV).

The anointing of Elijah that is going forth in this hour has a very specific purpose: to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. The people are made ready by turning the hearts of fathers and their children back to each other and by turning the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous.

    BENEFITS OF THE ANOINTING

Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

    Receiving the anointing

    joyalministries

How can we experience and retain the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives?
Jesus had told the disciples to wait until they received the power of the Holy Spirit. When He came, they knew a new boldness to proclaim the gospel and a new power as they healed the sick and performed other miracles.
The Holy Spirit had poured the love of God into their hearts. [Rom 5:5] He had baptised them with fire. [Luke 3:16]

SEVEN WAYS TO INCREASE OUR ANOINTING

Where true ministry is concerned we are totally dependent upon the anointing. The Lord wants to anoint all of His servants and every saint is called to be a servant of the Lord. There are many different gifts and callings, but without the anointing they are ineffective.
For instance an unsaved professional singer can sing beautiful hymns but there is no anointing on it.

Whereas a saved person with a mediocre voice and a heart after God can sing the same hymn and you will sense the presence and power of God.

    THE WAY TO HEAVEN
    JOYALMINISTRIES

Be honest and ask yourself how many of the 10 Commandments you have ever violated?
1.Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Has God held first place in your life, above the gods of pleasure, sports, money, and ambition?
2.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. Are spiritual matters more important to you than material things?
3.Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. Have you always used the names of Jesus, Christ, and God in a reverent manner?
4.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Do you set aside time each week to worship God?
5.Honor thy father and thy mother. Have you always shown proper respect for your parents?
6.Thou shalt not kill. Have you ever been angry at anyone?
7.Thou shalt not commit adultery. Have you ever engaged in premarital sex or been unfaithful to your spouse?
8.Thou shalt not steal. Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever cheated on a test or plagiarized?
9.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever slandered someone?
10.Thou shalt not covet. Have you ever had a strong desire for the possessions of others? The Ten Commandments -- Exodus 20:3-17.

Jesus Is the Only Way to Heaven (Hebrews 2:9)

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone" ( Hebrews 2:9 )
Several years back I was in a small group discussion and the topic was salvation. Most everyone in the group believed the same thing about Jesus. But there was one individual that did not believe in absolute truth, so the fact that Jesus was the only way to heaven was impossible for her to accept.

    JESUS IS THE LORD

    joyalministries

"Who is God besides the LORD?
And who is the Rock except our God?" Ps 18:31

When the Bible speaks of Jesus as Lord
does it mean that Jesus is the LORD God?

    THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

    JOYALMINISTRIES

Jesus was crucified. He died. He was buried. And he rose again. The resurrection is an essential part of Christianity. There is no Christianity without the resurrection (see 1 Corinthians 15). This page explains some details of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Mary Magdalene discovers Jesus' tomb was empty

    (see John 20:1-10)
The morning after Jesus had been placed in the tomb, Mary Magdalene went to visit the tomb. It was very early in the morning and it was still dark outside.

An empty tomb - Copyright Angilla S.She saw that the stone had been removed from the front of the tomb and that the tomb was empty.

She ran to Peter to inform him what she had seen. Then, Peter and another Apostle, John, ran to the tomb to see for themselves. The body of Jesus was gone and the only thing left behind was the cloth that was used to wrap his body for the burial. The Apostles were confused, they did not understand what was happening. How could the tomb be empty? Where was the body of Jesus?

Scriptural Views: Seven Words from the Cross

There is a green hill far away,
    Outside a city wall,
Where the dear Lord was crucified,
Who died to save us all.
We may not know, we cannot tell,
    What pains He had to bear;
But we believe it was for us
    He hung and suffered there.
He died that we might be forgiv’n,
He died to make us good,
That we might go at last to Heav’n,
    Saved by His precious blood.
There was no other good enough
    To pay the price of sin;
He only could unlock the gate
Of heaven and let us in.
O dearly, dearly has He loved,
And we must love Him, too,
And trust in His redeeming blood,
And try His works to do.

SEVEN WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS

Christ Jesus died on the Cross to redeem mankind, to save us from our sins because of his love for us. As recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ was mocked, scorned, and tortured in the praetorium. He carried his cross up the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem to Calvary, was nailed to the Cross and hung between two common criminals, and suffered an indescribable end, recalled by the Church on Good Friday of Holy Week.

"THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE"

    joyalministries

Under the Old Testament you know the Holy Spirit often came upon men as a divine Spirit of revelation to reveal the mysteries of God, or for power to do the work of God. But He did not dwell in them then. Now, many just want the Old Testament gift of power for work. But, they know very little of the New Testament gift of the indwelling Spirit, animating and renewing the whole life. When God gives the Holy Spirit, His great object is the formation of a holy character. It is a gift of a holy mind and spiritual disposition, and what we need, above everything else, is to say:

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS JOY

    joyalministries

Joy will allow us to enjoy my relationship with Christ, His creation, others, and our circumstances with an expression of delight and real, authentic happiness from and with harmony with God and others.

    Is Joy working in you?
Here is how you can find out. Take a careful look at this character and fruit of joy from God's most precious Word by examining the passages below. Now ask yourself:
    1. How do I exhibit joy in my daily life?
    2. What can I do to develop a more joyful attitude?
    3. What blocks joy from working and being exhibited in me?
    4. How can I make joy function better, stronger and faster even in times of uncertainly and stress?
    Galatians 5:22-23

    PEACE-FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

    joyalministries

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness faith...
    Galatians 5:22

Peace comes from a mind stayed on Christ. The Bible calls it setting our affection on things above (Col. 3:2). Peace is also listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit. The concept of keeping my mind focused on Christ is relatively easy for me to understand and even accomplish. I know if I try hard enough I can control what I think about, and I can keep my mind on Christ. But, how do I get the fruit of the Spirit? What do I do for that? Where does it come from? Obviously it comes from the Holy Spirit, but how do I know if I have the Holy Spirit?
