Scripture declares that He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and power. The Holy Ghost is the power of God. You can expect Him to take an active role in your life as you experience the nine gifts of the Spirit, the anointing, and signs, wonders and miracles. After Christ’s resurrection he met with His disciples for forty days teaching about the kingdom of God. He told them not to go into the world until they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He said they would receive power to witness in all the world “after” the Holy Ghost had come on them (Acts 1:8). This is significant. “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” (1 John 2:20). In the life of the believer, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is what makes you stand out from the crowd. The anointing is neither acquired through learning nor practice. Simply defined, it is that which empowers mere mortals to do supernatural things. It is bequeathed from heaven. At a Christian meeting, a professional singer was engaged to sing Psalm 23. It was a beautiful piece and received a standing ovation. Thereafter, an old man requested permission to sing the same song. At the ending, everybody broke down on their knees in tears, crying their eyes out to God. The first was by skill; the latter was by anointing.

Someone has said that "speaking in tongues" is a stumbling block to many Christians, just as the cross is a stumbling block to unbelievers.

"To people who are being lost the message about Jesus being nailed to a cross sounds silly, but it is God's power to us who are being saved... But we always preach Christ, the one who was nailed to the cross! This is embarrassing to Jews and nonsense to people who are not Jews." (1 Corinthians 1:18, 23) I guess that is the way "speaking in tongues" strikes those who think spiritual gifts ceased after the first century.

Saint Paul was a gifted exegete and a prophet. A man of many talents, he possessed an intimate knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures. As such, he used the Law, the prophets, and the psalms when he preached to argue that Jesus was the Messiah.

PROPHETIC CALL THROUGH A VISION

The Prophet Jeremiah's name means Yahweh lifts up, or shoots forth as a bow, establishes or loosens the womb, with the latter meaning alluding to God's forming of man in the womb. "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee. And before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations." (Jer 1:5) (c. 640-587 B.C.) CALLING OF PROPHET

A prophet must be called by God. The initiative in making a prophet always rests with him. It is not a ministry that anyone can take up. Only a false prophet dares to take up this ministry for himself. The true prophetic ministry always begins with a call from God. Isaiah had a very dramatic call (Isaiah 6:1-8). He needed this to sustain him through a difficult and disappointing ministry.
Jeremiah’s calling came in a specific word from God when he was quite young.

The prophets did not inherit the office nor receive it by human appointment, but were chosen, prepared, and called of God: and the call was often soul-searching (Ex. 3:1-4; 1 Sam. 3:1-20; Jer. 1:4-10; Ezek. 1:1-3).

The Gnostics taught and practiced five magical rites which they called the Five Seals. The Gospel of Thomas lists these: "The Lord did everything in a mystery, a baptism and a chrism (anointing) and a eucharist and a redemption and a bridal chamber." These Five Seals are:

1. Baptism. There were three buildings specifically used for sacrifice in Jerusalem. The first faced west and was called "the Holy." The second faced south and was called "the Holy of the Holy." The third faced east and was called "the Holy of the Holies." The third was a place where only the high priest was allowed to enter. Baptism is the first, "the Holy" building. The Gnostics, like the Christians and many others, used baptism with water as the primary method of purification. The Gnostic rite of spiritual baptism was said to bestow immortality. It was not conducted to redeem sins, but rather as the spiritual Christ descended on the human Jesus when baptized by John the Baptist, so our spiritual self awakens during this rite. In the Gnostic texts, this seal is called Baptism in the Waters of Life.

Where true ministry is concerned we are totally dependent upon the anointing. The Lord wants to anoint all of His servants and every saint is called to be a servant of the Lord. There are many different gifts and callings, but without the anointing they are ineffective.
For instance an unsaved professional singer can sing beautiful hymns but there is no anointing on it.

Whereas a saved person with a mediocre voice and a heart after God can sing the same hymn and you will sense the presence and power of God.

In the Old Testament, the Lord was instructing the children of Israel in dreams and visions to His prophets and priests. There were several periods during which the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord by worshipping idols. During those periods the word of the Lord became rare and there were not many visions. The Lord also delivered them to the hands of their enemies until they repented and returned to Him. He then gave them prophets and judges to lead them to His way and to rescue them from their oppressors.

Samuel, who was dedicated to the service of the Lord before his birth, became a prophet. He anointed the first two kings of Israel, Saul and David. During his lifetime, the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines. Every year, Samuel used to go on a circuit judging for Israel between Ramah, Bethel, Gilgal and Mizpeh. He lead Israel against the Philistines in Mizpeh.

Some people believe that we Christians only receive one infilling of God's Spirit in our lifetime. Such people may be sincere, but they are SINCERELY WRONG. 5 FOLD TEACHER

5 fold teachers teach truth from the word of GOD by the revelation of GOD through the power of the Holy Spirit. They have a strong heart understanding and love for the word GOD - Being extremely careful to rightly divide the word of God. There are two main types of 5 fold teachers 1. Researchers of truth 2. Teachers of truth. With some having a combination of the two. These 5 fold teachers are committed to and a part of a local church, That over time they will be coved in prayer, be supported, accountable, trained, recognised (other 5 fold ministry is needed as well at this stage), anointed then released by that local Church to begin to function locally, some will function and be accepted worldwide.

NINE-FOLD FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

One of the revelations the Lord shared with us during this season is the relevance of the 9-fold fruit of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer. Did you know that the Holy Spirit is at work in you and wants to produce amazing qualities in your life?

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. Gal 5:22, 23 AMP

Moses is a great example to follow as we journey through this life.

Moses, the prophet of God, became an instrument in the Lord's hands in showing the world, then and now, the power by which all mankind may be redeemed or "saved."

DAY OF THE LORD

Some speak of the Day of the Lord as though the armies of destruction are the saints holy anointed. But as Joel will describe, this army refers to the prophetic seventieth week that brings devastation and destruction, evidencing instead the acts of the destroyer.
 The Day of the Lord is forewarned in the beginning of Joel's prophetic message saying Joel 1:15 "Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty."

Disgusted with Jehoram’s “Look-North Policy” towards evil Ahab, his father in law, and his mindless murders of his own siblings, Joel looked up to the heavens for answers. He knew that the proliferation of evil would be catastrophic to Judah and Jerusalem.

Introduction

Joel means "Jehovah is God." This name occurs frequently in the Old Testament (1 Sam. 8:2; 1 Chronicles 4:35, 5:4, 8, 12, etc.). The prophet Joel was the son of Pethuel. Numerous guesses have been made about his personality. A tradition states that he was from Bethom in the tribe of Reuben. In 1 Chronicles 24:16 a man by name of Pethahiah is mentioned. Some have connected him with the father of Joel, Pethuel, claiming upon this that Joel belonged to a priestly family; but this, as well as other claims cannot be confirmed. Jewish expositors make the statement that Pethuel was Samuel, because Samuel had a son by name of Joel; but, inasmuch as the sons of Samuel were evildoers this is incorrect. The book itself does not give even a single hint as to his personal history.

Several different Bible characters bore the name Joel. "Not much is revealed concerning Joel; he is differentiated from the other eleven men in the Bible who wear the name, as 'Joel ('Jehovah is God'), the son of Pethuel ('sincerity of God')' (1:1)" (Cates 62). "Nothing is known of Joel's birthplace or biography, his career and personality being shrouded in obscurity" (Robinson 30). "The name Joel means 'Jehovah is God,' or 'Whose God is Jehovah'" (Pledge 212) and is congruent with the theme of God's judgment throughout the Book of Joel.

We have a kingly and priestly anointing; however, most saints only operate in their priestly anointing, which is called praise. This anointing points to reconciliation, intercession and worship. We all know how to praise God, sing unto God, and some of us can even worship God. Unfortunately, we are not clear about our kingly anointing. The kingly anointing refers to government, dominion, and authority. This anointing releases power to legislate, constitute, regulate, and rule. When we make declarations in faith we are operating in the kingly anointing. David’s relationship with God and his leadership aptitude demonstrate the kingly and priestly anointing at work. He not only was a king but he was a true worshiper, who desired to be in the presence of God and communion with God

their function within the Body of Christ. All Elders in Covenant Global Church operate in one of these ministry offices and their particular ministry

What is "Apostolic Passion?" The term "passion" is used to describe everything from romance to hunger pangs. I don. t know what it means to you, but for me passion means whatever a person is willing to suffer for. In fact, that. s the root meaning of the word. It comes from the Latin paserre, to suffer. It is what you hunger for so intensely that you will sacrifice anything to have it. The word "apostle" means a sent one, a messenger. "Apostolic Passion" therefore, is a deliberate, intentional choice to live for the worship of Jesus in the nations. It has to do with committed to the point of death to spreading His glory. It. s the quality of those who are on fire for Jesus, who dream of the whole earth being covered with the Glory of the Lord.

The Foundation Stone

I deeply treasure the terms apostolic and prophetic. They are dear to me. I desire to know, understand, and operate in the fullness of their meaning, as Jesus intended, when He gave them as gifts to us, His church. Only when these gifts are in their proper place in the church, is there a correct foundation laid for the building up of the Body of Christ to attain to that fullness. Therefore, here a some introductory thoughts on the matter.

The desert experience, or wilderness, is God's mandatory prerequisite to the prophetic calling. A prophetic person
never looks worse than while he/she is in-desert; and, he never looks better than when he emerges as gold, mature
in character and ace in prophesying. Even though all Christians experience certain desert seasons, the prophet's
wilderness is unique in that it is typically longer in duration and broader in revelatory production.

PROPHETIC CALLING....

Identify the Signs of Prophetic Calling. If you are called to be a prophet, then you are likely to see a fair portion of the following signs of your calling in your life and experience. Some of these signs apply to any major calling to the ministry. Some signs are specific to the prophetic ministry.

He became known through Galilee for His genuine strength, the sparkle in His eyes, the spring in His gait, the heartiness in His laugh, the genuineness of His touch; His passion, playfulness, excitement, and vitality: His JOY! He made a dazzling display of love. He set hearts afire. He was an elated, triumphant young man with an incredible quality of life . . . so different from the solemn religious types He constantly encountered...

What is an apostle? You have all heard the term. You have heard of people claiming to be apostles. You have probably heard about the Apostolic Ministry and the Apostolic Office. You often read about it in magazines. But, what is it? Is there still such a thing as the apostle? Have they not all died out already?
If there are apostles, how would you recognize one? Just because, a guy stands up and says, "I’m an apostle. God has called me to be an apostle," and they put the word 'apostle' as a title in front of their names under their photograph when they advertise for the conferences and the seminars? Does that make a person an apostle? How do you recognize an apostle? What does he look like? And, is there a ‘she’ apostle, or is this only for guys?

Most of us here don’t struggle with the fact that Jesus Christ is King and has authority, but many of us here today struggle with the fact that Kingship and authority has been given to every Christians – staggering thought, isn’t it?

Things in heaven are the pattern for things that are to be on earth. Man being made in the image of God establishes this fact that is borne out across scriptures. Man being made in the image of God makes God a pattern after which man is to follow. Jesus is God—the pattern of God for us to be on earth. He is the first fruits, or prototype of man for all men who are to come after him. He said of all the works he did, that he saw his Father in heaven do them first as a pattern for him to follow after, and do those same works of God on earth that God his Father was doing in heaven.
